I seem to be so hung up on body serums lately, but I cannot help myself. Before I tried Maely’s B-GLOWY serum, I simply did not think I needed it at all. I thought it was unnecessary and useless as it is just a money trap. Boy, I was wrong. So Wrong. After experiencing the benefits of body serum, I started to use it religiously. My body is aging as fast as my face, but I failed to show the same love and care as I showed it to my face. I literally have 6 step skincare routine for my face that I apply twice a day. The amount of money I spend on facial skincare is too embarrassing to disclose. I literally spend a little fortune that CEO of Sephora would shake my hand and thank me for keeping their company in business. On the other hand, it would be a good year if I applied body lotion on my body 5 times a year if any. Usually, my body lotions are from drug store and very cheap as they work really well. That’s how bad I was caring for my body.
After started to use body serum every single day along with a nourishing body lotion, my skin transformed. It was life changing. Taking care of every aspect of my body increased myself love to myself. Now, I take care of my body as much as I take care of my face. Now, body care is part of my daily skincare routine. Maelys came out with another body serum, and they were kind enough to send it to me as soon as it launched. I love new launches. I love trying them and share my experiences with all of you in the hopes of helping others. Also, I love trying new products as I have such insatiable hunger for finding better products while I build my routine with my holy grail products. I started to use it right away because I was just so excited and curious about it. I wanted to see if this serum was as good as B-GLOWY serum. Little Bit About the Brand
Maelys is such a good brand that focuses on mostly body skincare. They are vegan. They tend to make the most effective products that truly work. They do not play around at all. I have tried four of their products up until now, I have yet to be disappointed. Their products are always well made, good quality and very result driven. They deliver for sure. As there are not many luxury brands focus solely on the body, this brand begs to differ. They are there to transform our bodies. What I LOVE about this brand is that it is PETA certified and clean brand. All of their products are free of parabens, phthalates, and SLS to keep our skin safe and your body healthy. I have nothing bad to say about them. So far, they are doing absolutely amazing.
My Experiences
I really like this body serum. Let me explain you why. First let’s talk about the packaging and the texture. It is a sticky gel like liquid with pink bursting balls. It is such a beautiful lightweight texture. When you apply it to your skin, it applies like butter. As you rub it in, the balls start to burst and activates the ingredients. When you apply it, you get this cooling feeling that is very refreshing. It has a beautiful scent that lingers for a little while. Scent is not overpowering, it is refreshing. It gets absorbed pretty fast. It comes with a pump form where it’s perfectly measured. I only need couple pumps each time you apply it. Little goes a long way. Easy to apply and since it dries very fast, it won’t stain your clothes at all. I was most worried about that but haven’t had any issues. Not going to lie, pink balls got me nervous at the beginning. Whenever there is color involved in skincare, I tend to shy away from it.
I apply this serum to my chest, arms and hands once a day. The brand recommends applying it twice a day, but I have no time. I have been using it about two weeks now. My skin feels softer and looks more radiant which I absolutely love. I have started to form some wrinkles on my neck and chest area and this serum starting to plump my skin and make the wrinkles less visible. I had two kids, so my chest area has some stretch marks and this serum started to work really well. My stretch marks are less visible around my breasts which I was pleasantly surprised. I did not expect that at all. My skin looks healthier, younger and radiant now. It literally erases the wrinkles which I am ecstatic about. This serum literally stops the time for you.
During these harsh winter months, my skin is flakey and dry. After started using this serum, my skin is no longer flakey. The moisture is locked in beautifully. My skin feels nourished and adequately moisturized. This could be a such a nourishing body serum during these winter months. I am so happy about it.
Even tough, I have a very sensitive skin, this serum did not cause any kind of irritation. I haven’t experienced any kind of rashes, itchiness nor side effects. I am extremely happy about it. So as far as I am concerned, it is safe to use on a sensitive skin.
This bottle retails for $59. It does not come in cheap. It is pricey given that body products are usually cheaper. When a product is effective, the price is justified. This bottle is a nice size bottle but won’t last very long if you were to use this product twice a day as recommended by Maelys. I only use certain areas of my body, but you can use it for the whole body as you see it fit. Depending on how much product you consume each day, you might need to purchase this product every other month. It is not a lotion; it is a serum therefore a many won’t see this product as a necessity. You would need to decide what you would like to splurge on or whether this product is a necessity for you. For me, since I am only using once a day, I think it will last be about 3 months which is not that bad.
For me, I enjoy using body serums as it has transformed my skin within couple months. I have neglected my body for so long, I enjoy pampering myself. After having two kids, my body went through a lot. During the day, as I take care of my kids and my work, I barely have time for myself. Skincare routine a newly found self-care ritual for me. As I am trying to get back into shape and renew myself, investing in an effective serum such as this one, seems worthed for me. It is completely up to you whether this serum is of value to you.
Overall, if you are looking for a good body serum definitely give this one a try. Personally speaking, I will definitely repurchase this one again. I love how it beautifully transformed my skin. I needed a very effective product that took care of my body during these winter months and seems like I got one. Maelys does not disappoint.
